    Your job is to explore how tectonic plates move and keep the world connected.

    Draw the countries on your mandarin skin – your mandarin is representing the Earth. Carefully peel the mandarin so that most of the skin comes off in one piece and place on blue paper. Using Stop Motion, take a series of pictures displaying the 3 tectonic plate movements – convergent, divergent and transform.

    Homework tasks for this week-

    Spellodrome– the list selected by your teacher this week is suffixes- ion endings. Complete the activities on Spellodrome.

    Continue the list in your homework book– write a list of 20 additional words with the ion ending. Use joined writing!!!!

    To prepare for your information report head to Spellodrome-Writing Fun- select information reports and read through the examples before you write your own.

    Mathletics focus this week follows on from our fraction work in the classroom- work through Mathletics fractions task.


    Research a recent natural disaster and write your own information report using Pages.

    (eg. Japan or Ecuador earthquakes)

    Include in your report a map and a photograph. Write a report on the impact the natural disaster has had on the population and the environment.
